Fracturing Proppant

The oil fracturing proppant is a material used to fill fractures during the extraction of oil. It is necessary to inject proppant into the fracturing fluid in order to maintain open fracture cracks and ensure smooth oil extraction. Proppant plays a crucial role in the initial investment cost and economic lifespan of an oil or gas well. If the amount of proppant used is excessive, it will result in unnecessary waste; conversely, insufficient fluid production from the reservoir due to inadequate proppant quantity will lead to no economic benefit for the well. Currently, there are three main types of oil fracturing proppants available on the market: natural quartz sand, ceramic proppant, and coated sand.
As a supplier specializing in high-performance oil and gas fracturing proppants, Rongsheng offers various options including Absorbing Proppant, Oil-permeable&Water-blocking Proppants, Self-suspending Proppants, as well as other innovative products.

Ceramic Proppant

Natural Quartz Sand
Rongsheng quartz sand meets or exceeds API & ISO standards and is transported in accordance with strict industry standards to ensure high-quality performance. The product exhibits exceptional strength, integrity, and purity,
maintaining its structural integrity during normal pumping or fracking operations.

Ceramic Proppant
Our ceramic proppant is an essential component for the development and exploitation of hydraulic fracturing processes in oil (gas) fields, playing a crucial role in enhancing production. It can be widely utilized in deep wells and high-pressure oil and gas formations for fracturing modifications. Made from premium bauxite as the primary raw material, it undergoes crushing, fine grinding into micro-powder form, blending with various additives, repeated mixing, granulation, polishing, and sintering at high temperatures. This results in outstanding characteristics such as high compressive strength, low density, excellent sphericity, superior finish quality, and strong inflow capacity.

Coated Sand
Rongsheng coated sand products are available in different classifications: 16/30 mesh size range,20/40 mesh size range,30/50 mesh size range, and 40/70 mesh size range. During the process of oil and gas fracturing operations, it effectively increases production rates while providing support to prevent backflow discharge. The performance indexes fully comply with API&ISO standards and currently rank among the leading level.

Self-suspending Ceramic Proppant
Self-suspending proppant is a special polymer coating treatment of conventional ceramic grains, which can be suspended under clear water conditions according to a certain sand-carrying ratio. And there is no need to add extra sand-carrying liquid, avoiding the high pressure cracking cost of freeze glue system and the harm to the formation environment. The sand-carrying ratio of the self-suspending proppant in clear water is relatively large, and the construction is simple, which shortens the fracturing time and fracturing cost. Moreover, it exists in the form of a single particle in clear water, which has superior mobility during the fracturing process and under the formation, and will not produce local accumulation and lead to sand blockage.

Oil-permeable Water-blocking Ceramic Proppant
The oil-permeable water-blocking proppant is designed to prioritize the passage of oil under low osmotic pressure conditions. This proppant, which can be a low-density, medium-density, or high-density conventional proppant, undergoes surface modification technology to acquire oleophilic and hydrophobic properties. It exhibits exceptional water-blocking capabilities akin to the “lotus leaf effect.” These water-blocking properties significantly enhance the oil-water ratio in low-permeability oil wells, augment the flow-conducting capacity of the proppant, and improve crude oil yield ratios.

Absorbing Proppant
Carryable ceramic proppant, also known as water-absorbing ceramic proppant, is a novel type of oilfield fracturing ceramic proppant characterized by its non-closed and porous structure and exceptional pressure resistance. It has the capability to accommodate approximately 15% of petroleum additives, which can subsequently be released gradually in the deep stratum during fracturing operations, thereby extending the effectiveness of the proppant and providing protective benefits for oil wells.
